Match Report: Rebels fight back

The Western Jets took on Ballarat Rebels in a tight contest at Eureka Stadium on Sunday 14th May 2017. Jets forward Zak Butters opened the scoring kicking the first major. Rebels worked hard to kick the next two and take a 2 point lead in the first break. Matthew Young starred for the Jets in the second term kicking 2 goals and Buka Khamis 1. Western Jets took control of the 3rd quarter to lead by 10 points going into the final break. Rebels came out firing in the final term kicking the first 4 goals to win by 8 points in front of their home crowd.

NEXT UP 
Rebels travel to Sandringham to take on the Dragons on Saturday, while the Jets head north to take on Bendigo at Queen Elizabeth oval on Sunday.
